CLIENT:
Street League Skateboarding (SLS), founded by professional skateboarder Rob Dyrdek, is the premier global competitive street skateboarding series. Partnering with Nike SB, SLS sought to expand awareness of its World Tour events while driving attendance and television viewership for competitions held in major U.S. markets.
TEC Direct Media was engaged to support the SLS Nike SB World Tour events in Los Angeles and New Jersey, and the Super Crown World Championship event in Chicago (the city’s first time hosting the event).

SOLUTION:
TEC Direct Media developed a market-specific media strategy designed to reach both dedicated skateboard enthusiasts and potential new fans.
The campaign utilized a combination of high-traffic out-of-home advertising and targeted television placements across key host markets, including Los Angeles, New Jersey, and Chicago.
The integrated approach was designed to build awareness, drive event attendance, and encourage viewers to watch live broadcasts on FOX Sports 1.
RESULTS:
The campaign helped drive awareness and attendance for the SLS Nike SB World Tour while also supporting tune-in for live television coverage on FOX Sports 1. Media placements across key markets generated strong visibility for the events and contributed to high attendance levels, including a sold-out crowd at the SLS Nike SB Super Crown World Championship in Chicago.
Beyond event attendance, the campaign helped expand the reach of professional street skateboarding by increasing awareness among both core enthusiasts and mainstream sports audiences. As the tour continued to grow, television viewership also increased, further strengthening the league’s national presence.
